They might package themselves as trance, but to our delight, Sweden's Air Bureau really sounds like partying at a '90s-themed house club with Layo & Bushwacka, and a few of the All Saints girls. It's poppy and fun, vocal in all the right places, and ready for the dance floor.
Air Bureau is the musical brainchild of Niklas "Sunny Cide" Ehrlin and Henrik "Shiny Shooz" Larsson from Malmo, Sweden. They started their careers as hard-hitting techno act Headroom, but felt after 50 releases on numerous labels, the times were a-changin'. Rising from the ashes of Headroom, Airbureau was born with the debut single "Don't Expect Me (To Forget You)" released on Universal Records Stockholm and Skint/Loaded (UK). Shedding their purely techno skin, Niklas and Henrik let their love for funk and house be their guide. Air Bureau launched their own weekly club night Funkyard and headed across the globe DJing. 2007 sees Air Bureau releasing two lush and deeply funky house anthems on System Recordings: "Let me Know" and "My Computer."
