Music making is a hobby. As some people write journals to let their mind turn to ink on a paper, I let my fingers tap on the keyboard for musical expression. My soul goes into my music. A record deal, not my wish. Just enjoy it because it is me.
I started with a Roland MT-100 Digital Sequencer and Sound Module back in 1989. During my senior year, I just started making music. Once I got the hang of it, I used music to write my journals. I was percussion in the California State University, Los Angeles for a pop orchestra, jazz band and symphonic orchestra there. My major was Electrical and Civil Engineering.
After college, I decided to change my major to something I enjoy more. Music, no. Video and Film. Since I already got my education with CalState, I decided to go to Long Beach City College to major in Television/Film. There I received my certificated and have made a career out of editing videos.
My love for video and audio production is definitely a lot stronger than music making. I worked for Hollywood Digital for about a year, City of Long Beach Telecommunications Department for three years, and had various contract jobs for web design, video production and audio engineering. One day, I wish to own a digital audio/video/film post-production facility, as well as a special effects productions, dvd authoring, and web development/design/hosting facility. That is my goal, to be the premier facility of Hollywood, make like how Lucasfilm Industrial Light and Magic is today.
Even after I accomplish my goals, I will still continue to make music on the side and publish it all on my personal web site antonioedward.net. Music is something I do just for fun. Thank you for listening and please, tell me what you think. - Antonio Edward.
