Hiding a razorlike contempt for humanity within a lush acoustic sound, Apatheia is a brooding Swedish folk troupe with a bleak outlook on life. It's made all the more bittersweet by melancholy instrumentation. Apatheia's musical landscape is littered with cracked diamonds and beautiful garbage.
Biography
Apatheia is a folk project from sweden, utilizing strummed guitars, trumpet, flutes and vocals in an attempt to create lush, atmospheric compositions. The first proper album ('lifethesis') came out in early 2003 after two years of writing, released by the italian label stridulum recordings. It has been very well recieved in various european publications and the edition has now been sold out. Alot of new material has been finished, and will hopefully result in a 10" or full-length CD, alt. LP sometime late 2004. Other than that, Apatheia is featured on the new Cold Meat Industry sampler "Flowers Made Of Snow" released in october.
