Fort Lauderdale's Apocalypse7 brings the catchiest conventions of several genres together into lively original collages loosely deemed "electronica." A typical track opens with the ethereal phase effects of European ambient, slides into pounding house be
The Beginning
It all began in a mental journey of my own and a curiosity that never fell when it came to my amusement. As I walked into Electronic Music I I didn't know what to expect, but the workstation in the middle on the room caught my eye so I sat there surrounded by friends and others that were only friendly musical competition in my eyes. It began with a first assignment of experimenting with the synth in front of me, learning the buttons and the keys. Every single key made a note every voice had it's feeling, btu when the second assignment came in to create our first full fledged song it entered the enigma which was my mind.
Alien 101, the song got it's name because of the feeling I had in the class, "alien" because of the fact that I was the only Electronica listener in the class, and "101" because it was the beginning of the class and all I had was my emotions and my want to learn. It became a sudden success after learning a few chords and diffrent ways to manipulate the song, using effects and filters. One of my classmates came and said I was better at music creation then 70% of the Performing Arts magnet at my school. After that first song I never wanted to let go of the synth, me and music never let go, along with the other things I was into and still am into, film and web/graphic design.
One sad month in my life brought along the uprising of my second song "Depression" it was for our final exam in that class and it was another great hit in our class. As time moved on I advanced past the other students in the way we all worked with technology and still never want to stop.
Ultimatly, time moved on and brought out new songs that I have created and mastered hopefully I will gain recognition for these works and you, my listeners enjoy them. I hope to continue my success in what I believe to be corny songs but, understand them for what thery really are.
