Apocalypsum

Apocalypsum is a Mexican/Canadian Atmospheric Black Metal and Dark Ambient band located in Montreal, Canada.

After three years of musical experience and hard work in other musical projects, Apocalypsum was born in october 2007 with the name of "Eternal Synthfonia" but due to the hard pronunciation and spelling of the word, it was changed to Apocalypsum.

The band consists of two members: Gustavo Gonzalez, a 16 years-old Mexican and A.Willmann, a 17 years-old Canadian.

A. Willmann, who is not officially member of the band due to personal reasons, contributes in some occasions with the band adding more elements such as violins, cellos and heavy guitars.

Apocalypsum combines orchestral music, haunting pianos, powerfull drums, synthezisers, male and female choirs and other elements to create a very dark, symphonic, apocalyptic and melancholic sound.

The band goes from many styles: Dark Ambient, Symphonic Black Metal, Atmospheric Black Metal, and their main song themes are the apocalypse, darkness, mythology, human nature and the paranormal.

Most of the Apocalypsum songs are Apocalyptic-Sounding, to bring a haunting and mythical feeling to the listener. Currently, Apocalypsum has no vocalist, however the band composes the songs without vocals.
