Editor's review

The industrial techno of Trent Reznor has spawned its share of mutant offspring, only a few of which are even worth a listen. This Texas outfit is in that select group, earning its spot with dense, textured synth blends, relentless percussion, and tracks that combine both unalloyed intensity and dynamic range.

Biography

AR3A was born in 1992 by David and James. The band had some success in the underground clubs of Texas (thanks 'Numbers' for the floor time'). After a few different line up changes here and there, AR3A has been a one-man project (unless live) for many years now. Although some songs are hard & fast, some are slow and trance-like, and others are ambient textures...you will find AR3A's sound to be over all cinematic. Most people will immediately begin to picture scenes in their head...either real, imagined, or from their favorite movies.

AR3A uses a vast collection of synths (both hardware and software based), guitars, vocals, and any other thing that sounds good when being hit, smashed, plucked, or destroyed...ie: sampling is a key element to the music...and a lifestyle in and of itself. Those of you who have this sickness will understand. ;-) Our hope is that a lot of people hear our music and some of them like it. Nothing more. Have fun!
