From Africa, the start of it all, through the islands of the Caribbean and eventually America, where it's magic still shines. Real drums and percussion instruments are presented through the technology of digital multi-track recording- No synthetic sounds whatsoever! A tremendous learning tool for any drummer or percussionist to broaden his scope of musical experience. Each piece contains from 4 to 15 tracks of wild, rollicking rhythyms featuring the intricate and exciting syncopations of Afro-Cuban and Latin styles. Some are very traditional and others are my own interpretations but all are the real deal! This is the lifelong dream of Eric Gustafson, to do what was impossible in live play. 35 years of percussion experience is now crammed onto this collection of 24 short but wild tunes.
