Like John McLaughlin, Ari Lahdekorpi is well-versed in a variety of jazz-guitar styles. His repertoire spans from light bossa nova to acoustic solos to electronic-influenced modern fusion.
Ari Lahdekorpi was born in Parkano, Finland in 1957, but has resided in Canada most of his life. His professional career began as a sideman for a travelling faith healer and has grown to reveal a resume that includes working with rock, pop, and blues icons such as Bobby Vinton, Frankie Lane, Denny Dougherty, Pinetop Perkins, Bo Diddley, and Paul Shaffer.
Ari worked as a session guitarist thru the late seventies and eighties before relocating in Thunder Bay, Ontario and beginning his work as a solo instrumentalist and jazz musician. Since 1986 Ari has released over eight independant albums and has built an impressive audience of fans on the internet.
Ari is one of Canadas most downloaded Jazz guitarists.
