Editor's review

Imagine a view of explosive lights in slow-motion on a distant horizon as you travel through a midnight desert in a speeding dream: This is the soundtrack of the Arisu. The altered state of an otherworldly and pulsating ambient drum 'n' bass environment fuels the electric bodies everywhere.

Biography

Arisu is an underground psychedelic ambient/drum'n'bass project formed in 2005 by TJ & Gaia. The band draws from dark and ethereal soundscapes and relatively complex breakbeats mixing them with psychedelia and dark lyrics. The band is heavily influenced by the ‘60-70’s acid rock movement, bands such as Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd, Cream and The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Newer bands like Air, FSOL and Aphex Twin have also been an influence, amongst countless others.
