Arlo West was born in Oquossoc Maine in 1958. He has played lead guitar and fronted his own band for well over 30 years. His diverse and wide fan base stretches across the USA and beyond the American borders into countries like Sweden, Russia, Canada and many other places around the world.
While touring Sweden in 2006 Arlo was approached in a little pub in Stockholm. The gentleman asked "Are you Arlo West?" to which Arlo replied "I sure am" the guy went on to say "I saw you play in Stockholm 20 years ago!"
The Arlo West Band has consisted of many different players’ through the years. West say’s he likes to keep his options open for touring and recording. His current line up for the USA band is Ray Arsenault on bass guitar. “Ray is my best friend” Arlo said in an interview recently with the LA Sun. “We have been together now for a decade and are currently in a new project called “Firewater Creek.”
The band West tours with in Europe is a diffrent one. Another one of Arlo's best friends happens to be the bass player in that band as well. Christer Östberg is not only in the band but he is also West's agent in Europe. "Christer has been booking tours for me for a number of years now and I consider him to be a true and loyal friend." says Arlo. Dr. Åke Eriksson is also the current drummer for my overseas gigs. Ake is hugely popular in Skandinavia (Wasa Express Band) and is loved by his fans for his incredibly talented approach to drums.
Today Arlo is the CEO of Creative Forensic Services a forensic audio and video investigation company. He has aided law firms, police and civilians investigating cases all over the world. His expertise and reputation has ranked him as one of the top 10 forensic audio and video experts in the USA. His company Creative Forensic Services is located in Auburn, Maine. Several magazines have interviewed him about his involvement in solving high profile homicide cases.

Arlo was an audio engineer at the Dallas Sound Lab in Texas. His work there was as interesting and included assisting with the Grammy award winning “U2” and the Oscar award winning “Titanic” to name a few projects.
Arlo West has recorded over 14 albums and many of those were recorded at the Dallas Sound Lab with some of the recording industries best. Tim Kimsey engineered many of the best recordings that have come from those sessions and his talent for capturing and mixing that Texas Blues Rock style was integral in West’s success.
