From warm, artificial ambience to intense robotic sequences, Arvo crafts a brooding, yet refined sound that doesn't take long to sink in. Influences of early Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada are present in his work, but it’s a unique stylistic binding agent that brings it all together. Images of desolate landscapes and industrial machinery at work come to mind as ardent metallic chords and subtle DSP augmentation tell the tales of the modern day future.
Arvo is Nathaniel Berens -- 17 years old, bored, and with music constantly running through his head. This is my outlet.
My music is ambient, unobtrusive, often minimalistic. It is created entirely in Buzz (check it out at www.buzzmachines.com). The only other equipment used is a cheap old Yamaha PSR-76 (with no MIDI functionality) for constructing melodies, and constant humming.
At the moment, I'm still developing my style, learning the nuances of Buzz, and such. But should I write enough songs in the future that I would deem worthy of compiling into an album, by all means I will.
For now, though, close your eyes, open your ears, and enjoy Arvo.
