Atlanta composer Afshin lets his fingers do the talking by gallantly galloping across piano keys, in the process creating soothing, inspirational music. The adept pianist backs his keystrokes with strong string sections and downtempo drum sequences. His arrangements are equally compelling, his songs building into dramatic anthems then decelerating to dreamy New Age ambiance.
Ever since I began an interest in the world of music, I've paralleled with it the art of composition, perhaps solely because of my natural desire or instinct to produce. Throughout the years, with the refinement of my abilities to write and hear music, I have maintained an interest in the constancy and productivity in this field from which I've been presented with at a fairly young age. With an educational background and training in the elements of Classical music, and the styles of popular music in the modern day, I have been influenced and given ideas for the shapes and sizes my art has taken. Therefore, one may hear the evidences of these genres in my productions. Usually starting on the piano, ideas may evolve to a number of forms ranging from large symphonic, to small ensemble, to solo piano pieces, and even to purely electronic music. In the end, all the music I write is completely true and loyal to my mind and heart and functions as a mere reflection of its attributes.
