Baked Mice are a crossbreed of progressive rock, funk, reggae, and classic riff-oriented blues-rock. Their unpredictable thrill-ride of sound has earned them a strong cult following in their hometown of Cleveland.
With a music characterized by dissonant guitars, politically charged lyrics, and syncopated, thumping bass/drum grooves, Baked Mice is one of the most original bands to have snuck onto the music scene in 2003. Baked Mice arose from the ashes of various Cleveland bands and have established a cult like following. After a recent show at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights, Steel Farkas bassist for "Flo White" described the Baked Mice as, "a potent blending of Janes Addiction, Sublime, Tool, Bela Fleck, and Phish" Baked Mice itself tends to shy away from comparisons and has acquired an eclectic following with its offbeat approach to song writing.
