The gulf between outlaw country and Southern rock isn't always as wide as it seems. As in, they may debate the merits of Wild Turkey vs. Jack Daniel's, but they're both singing about whiskey. This Wisconsin foursome underlines the genre's overlaps with rousing, rocked-up country jammers. And they put back plenty of amber liquid along the way.

BCB - the Bear Creek Band
These four guys from Wisconsin are into two things: extreme variety and serious fun. Constantly on tour, they play over 200 dates a year and have won legions of devoted fans from the Rocky Mountains to the Florida Keys with their good humor, easy charm and a jaw-dropping array of talents.
This debut CD shows the guys stretching their limits even further. They wrote, arranged, played, and co-produced all 10 of the songs on the disk, drawing on a vast range of stylistic influences from their years in "da bidness", from stone country to alt-pop and a whole lot of places in between.
