On a bed of acoustic guitar and piano, Belle's Wake makes intimate songs of sadness. Drawing from diverse musical tastes, Andrew Currie and Scott Waters fuse emotional power with spare instrumentals and ever-extending melodies.
Belle's Wake was formed in 2004 in Savannah Georgia by Andrew Currie and Scott Waters. The two met while working together at a local tv station and began playing together at local coffee shops and bars. In 2005 they relocated to Atlanta Georgia and began work on their debut album, "The Nature of the Ground." Andrew's cousin Ashley Mobley soon joined the band contributing vocals and performing with them at a few small shows. In 2006 Brooks Robinson joined the band as well on bass guitar.
