Editor's review

If Sir Mix-A-lot hadn't gotten there first, Benjamin Bear would have cornered the derriere-oriented novelty rap market. Recalling Insane Clown Posse, Illinois' Bear offers wacky, kids'-birthday-party-on-acid lyrics, delivered with a cheeky grin, bubblegum effects, and a whole lot of focus on butts.

Biography

Can a rapper poke fun at rap stars while rapping at the same time? Ask Benjamin Bear. Once an average teddy bear, he was brought to life one day when sound waves from an old 2-Pac CD mixed with gamma radiation. We immediately got up, pimp-slapped someone, began dropping phat rhymes over tight beats, and a star was born! Later joined by his Muph Rydas crew of Trick O'Gnosis, Beatface, Johnny B, and the Insidious Doktor P, they set out to raise enough funds to purchase equipment to drill into the earth to extract materials to build a giant robot to take over the skies with their death ray. With smash hits like "Butt Like That," "Whatcha Really Want?," and the eternal classic "Bowlin," they're off to a good start.
