Biography

Benny Profane is an Ann Arbor-based lo-fi rock-n-shimmy band that utilizes grandiose words when dimunitive ones would suffice and never backs down from a hyphen. Led by the human yo-yo Benny Profane (up and down the east coast), the band is a collective of musicians and busters who make the greatest college town in the country their home. Sax player McClintic Sphere's sympathetic magic distinguishes the band's sound from the sonic fray, while the jazz roots of guitarist Brian Kovak and the blues devotion of bassist Justin Cohen firmly bore Benny Profane's eclectic attack into the heart of American music like a worm in an apple. NOTE! Benny P has a new band, called S' -- Check them out at Sapostrophe.com
