THE BAND BLUNDER project was created in the city of OPORTO in 1998 and its members were: António Santos > vocals/guitars Miguel Carvalho > guitars Nuno Rocha > guitars Jorge Oliveira > bass Pedro Madureira > drums "BLUNDER" - THE DEBUT ALBUM In May 1999, BLUNDER signed for the record company MOVIEPLAY (www.movieplay.pt) and release the album bearing their name in October 2000. The debut album has been recorded, produced and mixed by Mick Glossop (www.artistdirect.com) at AURASTUDIO (www.aurastudio.pt) in January and February 2000. Mick Glossop was chosen for its work with various artists such as Suede, Waterboys, Frank Zappa, X Mal Deutschland, Van Morrisson, Sinnéad O'Connor, thE Cult, Lloyd Cole, MIKE OLDFIELD, JOHN LEE HOOKER, among others. This work was mixed and mastered by Mick Glossop himself and Tim Young at Metropolis Studio in LONDON. THE CHOICE "Ain't Gonna Cry" is the single chosen for the presentation of the album. Mínima Ideia productions (www.minimaideia.com) become in charge of producing and directing the videoclip, featuring Portuguese model Ana Isabel. In 2001, the second single from "BLUNDER" - Train Song - comes out. Play Audiovisuais productions (www.playaudiovisuais.com) produce and direct the videoclip. THE EVENTS In 2001 they won the prize Minerva Banda Revelação da Universidade Lusófona (Best New Band Award presented by Universidade Lusófona) and were nominees in the Prémios Blitz (awards presented by Portuguese music newspaper Blitz) for Best New Band category. They ranked third place in TMN Top Clips for the videoclip "Ain't Gonna Cry". "MUTE" - 2003 A 17 tracks CD and DVD was released in October - 2003. In this new recording, BLUNDER, without Nuno Rocha for the moment, have invited Elísio Donas (Grace, Stowaways, GNR, Sérgio Godinho) for the keyboards. Apart from Elísio Donas, a string quartet called CORVOS took part in the making of MUTE. Nelson Carvalho (who has already worked with Maria João/Mário Laginha, Blind Zero) was the chosen person to supervise, record and mix these recordings at Namouche (Lisboa); the production work has been undertaken by BLUNDER. THE DVD MUTE's edition comes with a DVD that includes two extra track, videoclips and the recording sessions making of videos for the album - this section is called "MUTE TV". The DVD's design has been assigned to Jorge Oliveira and António Lopes from Plastick, a multimedia and webdesign development company (www.plastick.net). THE LISTENING Some samples of the tracks that will be included in MUTE are already available on the official site. THE SINGLES/VIDEOS From MUTE were extracted three singles, and each one had a videoclip. Mute disturbance was released exclusivelly at MTV Europe. THE SITE Jorge Oliveira and António Lopes from Plastick have been responsible for the design of the new site as well
