Able to leap disparate genres in a single bound, it's Bolt! Their instrumental weirdness encompasses disco, prog, riff rock, and God only knows what else. Bolt is the best argument yet to discontinue using A.D.D. medication.
Bolt began when Bill Elliott (drums) and Heyward Sims (guitar) started experimenting with ideas in Elliott's garage in the summer of 2000. The two reconvened in May of 2001 when they recruited Geoff Maxey to play bass in a small music festival. After an unexpectedly not awful performance, the three decided to continue with their idea. Bolt released a 4 song EP in August of 2001 and a full length CD entitled "Circadian Rhythm" in March of 2003. The track "Orbit" was featured on the Jam Room Recording Studio's 4th compilation CD in March of 2004. Bolt began recording its 3rd as of yet unnamed release in May of 2004 and hopes to have it out in very early 2005. The band has been regarded as "quite possibly the best act in Columbia" by local press. www.boltband2001.com always has more detailed and up to date information.
