Editor's review

The stand-up star shows Seinfeld's mastery of the mundane--the chagrin of saying "you too" at the wrong moment; our odd indecision at the doughnut counter--but takes a more outlandish tack on these quirks. It's a riotous mix of modern wry humor and the physical style of the old wisecrackers.

Biography

Brian Regan is one of the hottest comedians performing today. In sold-out theaters across the country, audiences keep coming back time and again to see what's new in the comedy world of Brian Regan.

As a kid, Regan was a huge fan of Johnny Carson, The Smothers Brothers and Jonathan Winters but his fascination with stand-up comedy really kicked in when Steve Martin came on the scene. It was Martin's silly, but smart, comedic genius that inspired Regan.

In the early 80's, Regan started performing at a small comedy club in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, an hour's drive from his hometown of Miami, and found plenty of work in the booming 80's comedy world.

In 1986, Regan moved to New York City, where he based himself until 1994. Still hitting the road plenty during those years, Regan also used his time in New York to learn the difference between getting laughs, and getting good laughs. Regan kept his comedy broad enough to work everywhere but unique enough for the demanding New York City scene. The tightrope paid off when he won $10,000.00 in the K-Rock - Miller Lite Funniest Person in New York contest in 1988.

By the early 90's, Regan had developed into one of the best stand-up comedians in the country and began nailing down national TV appearances: MTV Half Hour Comedy Hour, Pat Sajak, Arsenio Hall, and ... every comic's dream - The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

And the accolades and opportunities kept coming. Brian won the 1996 American Comedy Award for Best Comedian and in 1997 released his CD, "Brian Regan Live." He starred in his own comedy specials for Showtime and Comedy Central and was featured in Coca Cola's Concession Stand Comedy in movie theaters throughout the country.

All of the energy of an entire Brian Regan live performance was captured on the DVD, "I Walked On The Moon." Released in December of 2004 and available through Brian's website, www.BrianRegan.com, the DVD has sold over 25,000 copies in less than a year.

In 2005, with his fan base having grown beyond the capacity of the nation's comedy clubs, Brian embarked on a 40-city theater tour playing to sold-out houses and receiving standing ovations and rave reviews.

If you missed the 2005 theater tour, don't fret. A national U.S. tour has been announced for 2006 called, "Brian Regan, The 'YOU TOO' Tour."

It is a testament to Brian Regan's talent that he can sell out theaters across the country without the exposure of his own sitcom. But his fans may not have to wait long to welcome Brian into their homes on a weekly basis. Until then, fans can continue to see Brian Regan on TV in regular guest appearances on both "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."
