Originally born in?Europe, brooks grew up in the south of England near London until his late teens. Brooks deForest writes music in styles from Electronica to Orchestral. Many times the tracks are a fusion of the two.
His first application of music was in video games at around age 14, when he wrote for the Tandy 1000 and other PC compatibles. Though the audio was limited to only 3 channels,?and sounds were a mix of simple beeps. The 2005?track Ultra Violet, came originally from an unpublished 1993 PC game of the same name.
In June 2005 his first album Ephemeral was released. It contained 14 tracks ranging from session Jazz (Cloudy, The Buzz, Final Feedback), through electronica (Radiowave, L'Esprit Orange, Solstice Formation), to orchestrated pieces (Believe, Valse de la Vie, Evensong). The CD also contained interactive material for computers including 2 bonus tracks (re-mastered A Call From Dr Evil, Bump Music), photos, and early video game music from around 1989.
His second album Live In Your Living Room, was released in February 2006. It contained live and session recorded tracks with a more accoustic feeling. The album also mixed folk styles with electronica and included his first song, a country parody titled 'Electrical Engineering'.
