Editor's review

It takes real courage just to record "Ain't No Sunshine"--in all likelihood you'll only be reminded how great Bill Withers is. This Colorado songman may not match Bill's vocal tenderness, but his husky pipes and saloon piano are perfectly suited for such aching blues.

Biography

Thank you for listening to my music. The real Brother Malcolm was assasinated in Detroit, Michigan, when I was just a child. He believed in self determination and self responsibility not only for himself but for all people. At that time, this was radical ideology and this man of love was considered a militant. It cost him his life. It cost his family a father. I have lived to play piano, sing the blues, have grandchildren and gray hair because of sacrifices offered by people like Malcolm X, our, Brother Malcolm. I do not pretend to imitate this great man. I, in fact, am in debt to him. Now, back to the music.
