Peluzza's brand of salsa works at a slow simmer, which only makes it more sensual: The tart horns, husky vocals, and rumbling percussion arrive with a patience that amounts to being coy. Coolly resisting speed or fortissimo volume, they're content to string us along.
Carlos Peluzza is one of the most important musicians and arrangers all over Latin America, playing from Peru to Brazil and Vegas to Miami. He has recorded and arranged more than 3000 charts for all kinds of music, including ballets, festivals, commercial jingles, and radio spots. Peluzza has released 8 albums, with his first recording coming from his home country, Peru. He likes to combine the popular Peruvian waltz with salsa and is influenced by romantic and Brazilian music. He plays drums, timbal, piano, and is an established composer and vocalist, having composed and sings all of the songs in his newest cd entitled "Toca Mi Timbal". Peluzza has gained great attention and recognition for his musical career lasting over 30 years. He has been arranging songs for a multitude of popular artists and international musicians. Now he is preparing for his new album, "Peluzza's Way" in 2008. In the future, he hopes to mentor and aid the younger musicians on their way up to the top.
