Carl plays classic "kilted" music, the sort I grew up with, back in the days before the Great Renaissance in Scottish folk brought us the new sound typified by Silly Wizard, the Tannahill Weavers, the Battlefield Band, et al. I love those groups, but sorely miss the old style as well. Carl's as good as any back in the day; may his clear tenor ring out for years to come.

I'll be passing the word on to my folk-loving friends, especially ones like me who grew up with the kind of singing Carl excels at.
