Biography

Cassandra's Myth from Melbourne is the project of Ben Smith, a veteran of the live Australian music scene. From garage band gigging around the traps, to post-modern industrial rock nihilists, Cassandra's Myth are no strangers to sonic evolution and revolution.

Cassandra's Myth originally began as a ragtag coming together of musicians of varying influences and agendas. Fronted by two highschool pals, time and diverging artistic directions have whittled this electrorock live act, once familiar with the live music scene of Melbourne, into a rockin' electro based sound.

Cassandra's Myth bring a dreamy and disassociated feel to industrial rock, with reference points that namecheck acts like Psychic TV, Skinny Puppy, Yelworc and Project X. Taking these influences into new territory, and fusing bleak electronics with edgy rock, the Cassandra's Myth project is set to make a mark on the new industrial scene by restoring the lost spirit of the industrial sound.
