Editor's review

Spokane punk outfit Cause has roots in both ends of the underground spectrum. The bandmembers lurch from heavy sludge riffs to breakneck-paced hardcore without skipping a beat. Instead of watering down both genres, they split the difference and in the process make most other bands sound like babies. Is this Black Sabbath crossed with Minor Threat? No, it's something much heavier than that.

Biography

Blitzkrieg drum beats with even faster fills are aligned with ever changing power chord-based guitar rifts and waged with an anthem style angst shouting vocals approach.  Cause became the voice for disenfrancised youth in Eastern washington by combining music, activism, and unity in a way that would inspire the kids for years to come.  Fans of Dead and Gone, Neurosis, Christ on a Crutch, Strike Anywhere and Gorilla Biscuits will be pleased.
