Biography
Celtic Shores - Traditional and modern music from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Newfoundland, Canada and Northern England will appease the heart and soul. Played and sung with emotion and verve, this music will evoke mystery, thought, wonderment and tears. It is an unparalled relaxing, musical journey.

Of special note, the song "She's Like a Swallow" sung by a 14 year old peasant girl, is a 'tear your heart out' rendition of a Newfoundland Celtic song, sure to evoke a wretching of the heart, but truly beautiful in a lonely way. Famous musician Ken LaRoche played alto flute and pipe drones for this song. He passed away shortly after this album was made. We miss him!
This Celtic Shores CD has been chosen by an Internationally acclaimed Scottish Film Maker who will use the tracks contained on the CD for the soundtrack of a new feature film.

Marvelous! The track, "A Raindrop For Every Tear" is breathtaking. As I listened to this what came to my mind was a picture of myself going outside on a rainy day. I see the lake, the raindrops on the water and I hear the rain hitting the ground all around me. I am standing there waiting for the storm to pass by so I can get along with the rest of the day. I would like to hear more music like this. It's almost a crescendo of the whole album.
One song, "Amazing Grace," had an unusual opening, very haunting. The rest of the song came through well.
A nine year old girl I know asked what kind of music I was listening to. I told her and she said, "I like that music." There's a whole new generation of kids out there who listen to more than just the modern music idiom.
I would have to catagorize the album as soothing, relaxing. It's been a lot of fun reviewing this music. The opening of the album grabbed me; I wanted to hear more. I enjoy music but I really appreciate what's on this "Celtic Shores" album. In listenability I'd give it a 10. (Sherwood Fogg)"
