CHRIS HIATT's musical road has taken him to many places. These days it's taking him down some pretty bluesy streets. Though Stevie Ray Vaughan IS one of Chris Hiatt's main musical influences, Those not as easily noticed are the influences of Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler (of Dire Straits), Johnny Marr (of the Smiths), the Beatles, R.E.M., and scores of other guitarists whose records lurked in the back of Hiatt's collection. The band includes Pennsylvania-born THE GERM on bass guitar and drummer CHRIS 'CRASH' KLETTKE, originally from Washington State. Germ's solid attack and his sense of groove made him an obvious choice to work in Hiatt's band. A veteran of many area bands, Germ also brings a mountain of both live and studio experience under his belt. Crash was the prestigious INLAND EMPIRE BLUES SOCIETY's 1997 BEST BLUES DRUMMER OF THE YEAR, an honor presented by his peers and by regional blues fans. Hiatt and his band live and work out of Phoenix, Arizona.
