Christopher Burns is a 22 going on 23 year old hipster from Pennington, New Jersey, ready to take hip hop music in a new direction. His music career began as a standout drummer for the band Rocking Chair in the grammar school days. Christopher began writing songs and making beats his junior year in high school after getting a DJX keyboard for Christmas.
As a student at NYU, Chris began to experiment with an increasingly diverse array of lyrical and musical styles, while at the same time layering his beats with an ever-growing complexity of rhythm and rhyme. Drawing on influences as wide ranging as Eminem and The Beatles, he produced songs regularly throughout his four college years, distributing them via email and creating an underground buzz in the city and on university campuses nationwide. Chris's songs seek to break down the barrier between musical genres and expand hip-hop past its traditional borders. The 40-second underground smash Rick Diss cemented his reputation as a musician unafraid to turn words and phrases into scathing social commentary and sardonic wit.
Christopher Burns, Sickabod Sane, JungThird, Third Degree Burns, Mr. Burns-A-Lot, The Heckraiser is here to introduce to the world a new style of hip hop; one which celebrates intelligence, celebrates life's finer, funnier (and harsh and scary) elements, and celebrates celebrating. Catchy and musically impressive beats that nod your head for you accompany words of sharp, tactical, and liquid flow. Like the man says: "I only want to do what I want to do, and what I want to do is get crazy."

"From the distorted synth and guitar that opens up 4th & Mercer to the special guest collaboration with The Count from Sesame Street on Typ of the Iceberg, Chris Burns has created a vast collection that cuts across just about every musical style out there-- and creates new ones."
