Though the danceability of his tracks justly earns him the "dancehall" label, this Austria-based songman joins an impressive array of reggae strains. Tissa's juicy beats are solidly roots, his electric guitar licks present as acid/fusion, and his jumping horn choruses point to ska.
Cloud Tissa is ready to explode on the music scene with his newest album, "1st Chapter" which malrks his first LP since Africa. With a style that is very unique, Cloud blends the sounds of Dancehall, Reggae, R n? B, Hip-hop and Afro Fusion into the mainstream music scene. Clouds special blend of music is very eclectic and infectious. His musical ideas come to life with the producing touches of, Julian Hruza, Sam Brisbe, Sam Gilly (House of Riddim), Clemens Ivanschitz (HoerspielCrew) and Rafael Neira. (Pacheco) During his teenage years, he reached the top of the charts multiple times in East Africa and performed in front of thousands with some of Reggae biggest names like Lucky Dube and Maxie Priest. Currently based in Austria, Cloud has appeared in many concerts such as the Wiesen Reggae Sun-Splash festival where he performed with the likes of as Prince Zeka, Alpha Blondy, Sly & Robby, and The Wailers. Cloud has also been touring with One Soul Reggae Band (Cloud is a featured artist on their record.) Inspired by memories of his childhood, teen-life and his society, Cloud's album "1st chapter" has songs covering the various topics of love, partying and his personal outlook on life. By the looks of things there is nothing that can stand in the way of this young man. Check out Cloud Tissa's album "1st chapter" in stores 26th May 2006.
