Contraband_NYC

Greetings. We are  Contraband. We have been playing in the New York area for over two years. We pride ourselves on our musical craftsmanship, arrangements and lyrical content. Though our CD is very complexed and heavily layered, when we play live we utilize a five-man line-up. The two main attributes of Contraband are the virtuosity of the players, and the cultural diversity and influences from which we each draw so much material. We successfully merge the middle eastern ragas of Israel, the pop-folk rock of the east village, the bluesy bass sounds extracted from exposure to the masters, and the rhythms of the inner-city, to create a sound that is simultaneously pleasant and recognizable, yet distinct.
