Drum 'n' bass guru UFO joins Westside Chemical to make up the futuristic hip-hop-based production team Daily Situations. Stutter-stepping kicks and snares soaked with electronically enhanced bass lines and robotic tones all provide the foundation for MC Riff Raff. Biography
Daily Situations is a production duo featuring DJ UFO! And Westside Chemical. Although UFO! is best known for his work in the pioneering west coast drum n’ bass collective Phunkatek, this project finds him returning to his early roots as a hip hop DJ/Producer. The group’s sound is brash and aggressive, yet atmospheric and visual. Fusing jungle’s hard snares and baselines with hip hop tempos, Daily Situation marks a departure from the organic fair that has dominated Bay Area hip hop. It’s unapologetically progressive, yet accessible to the listener. For those of you looking for that next shit, check this out. D.L. enlist the considerable talents of P.E.A.C.E.
