Quirky minimalist, yes, but extremely diverse would also describe Dave Weir and his homemade recordings, featuring his drum loops and guitar tracks that can veer from pleasant pop to jazz- inflected. Blues allusions and even samba beats pop up on his wide, varietal menu.
Biography
Dave Weir programs the drum loops and then adds some guitar tracks and some more randumb percussion and cranks out catchy little tunes in record time. He's made several CD's each containing a number of real numbers. People he wishes he could play as good as include Santana, Jeff Beck, Peter Green and that brat kid down the street. So there it is.
