Editor's review

Connecticut pianist/teacher/composer DeLucia pens New Age instrumentals that evince a deep current of the late-19th century Frenchmen he prefers. Listen to David in a shuffle with heroes Claude and Maurice, and you'll hear how his pieces read as pleasing contemporary tangents off those composers' avant-romance melodies.

Biography

Although I'm a school psychologist by trade, I also teach part-time at a non-profit private music school in New Haven, Ct. In the last three years, I've released three CDs, Music For Quiet Listening, More Music For Quiet Listening, and Show Some Emotion. In addition, I have composed music for solo piano, chamber ensembles, band, and orchestra. An internet review of my first two CDs can be viewed at:

In addition, my CDs can be purchased at:

 http://cdbaby.com   or

http://amazon.com

My favorite composers are Poulenc, Howells, Vaughan-Williams, and Debussy, and my own compositions show some influence from these artists. I also give solo piano recitals in the Eastern Connecticut area...write to me for more information.

Happy listening, Dave
