A cross between the burning art sludge of the Stooges, the ripped Southern blues-rock of the Black Crowes, and the shrill arena-ready metal of AC/DC, this South London quartet boasts influences no mother could approve of. Unless said moms were Mick groupies, which they just mighta been.
For those that like their sleaze sexy (or indeed their sex sleazy). Dirty Fuzz are an under-the-counter prescription; precision- built to get your pulses racing.
For those that don't know, this is the real deal. What separates the South London based four-piece outfit from the pack is their infectious energy on stage and they've simply got the tunes. Formed in 2004, Dirty Fuzz have come up with a raw sound that crosses AC/DC, Nirvana, The Who and Tina Turner.
Elida Zulu: Vox Flamboyantly afroed beauty with a voice to die for. Brought up on her Dad's rhythm and blues records, she brings the soul to the rock. Described as the lovechild of Bon Scott and Tina Turner, Elida has written for Windswept Pacific LA, publisher of bands such as kings of Leon, Snow Patrol and Nick Cave.
Andy Morrison: Guitars This guy hails from way down south and has a guitar that sounds like a cross between a chainsaw and a cage full of wild animals. Brought up on Keith's rock, Iggy's style, Kurt's fashion and Muddy's blues, this is one Aussie who puts the Dirt to the Fuzz.
Pete Parker: Bass A southwest Londoner that lays down the fattest bass sound that inexplicably enters the soul. Cutting his teeth in a number of London bands in his early yrs, he has found a natural fit with the Dirty Fuzz blend of rock, blues and soul.
Dan Thompson: Drums The biggest and hardest hitting drummer ever. Also known as ?The King?, Dan has played with Motorhead's Lemmy. Needless to say, he is one fierce guy with rock written all over him.
