A true b-boy at heart, DJ Sat-One has been makin' noise in the Philly hip-hop scene for more than 12 years, successfully transitioning from legendary graf writer, to radio and club DJ, and now a heavily sought after hip-hop producer. Over the past few years, Sat has worked with some of the best in the biz, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Bahamadia, and DJ Revolution among others.
A 12-year veteran of Philadelphia's Hip-Hop scene, Sat-One has made a name for himself as a legendary graff writer, a master beat producer, and one of the city's top DJ's. Those Illadelphians who know of his underground singles with Eminem's first group the Outsidaz' Pace Won & Young Zee know the extent of the man's skills. He has worked behind the scenes at Jazzy Jeff's famous "Touch Of Jazz" studios where he created his first solo LP called "After Midnight" with an allstar Philly cast such as Bahamadia, Dice Raw, Paul Yams, Baby Blak, Outerspace, V(Jill Scott's background singer), Chops, Last Emperor, and more. He later joined forces with Philly's elite DJ's Jay-Ski (103.9 the Beat), Excel, Kwestion, Adam Bomb, and Aktive (Musiq Soulchild's DJ) to form "The Skratch Makaniks" where him and his crew catch wreck at all the top clubs and hold it down on Marly Marl and Pete Rock's "Future Flavas.com radio show" every Saturday at 11pm. You can also hear his latest tracks on Outerspace's "Blood and Ashes" album (Babygrande Records), Baby Blak's "Once You Go Blak" (BBE Records), and his quick cuts to Jazzy Jeff's "The Magnificent" (BBE Records). Judging by his stats, this cat's about to transcend regional status and make serious noise for years to come.
