DJ Speck has been playing electric guitars of all kinds for the past 5 years. Recently, he has explored music composition in the digital realm, using his cheap-ass PC. For some projects, DJ Speck has collaborated with DJ Andrew Jackson of Dole Factory.
"DJ Speck evokes just one image: A gene splicing experiment gone horribly wrong involving John Lennon, Buddy Holly, Woody Allen, and Katharine Hepburn, flapping its arms wildly over the strings of an electric guitar and the controls of a drum machine." --- PJ Oliver, UW Palmyra News
"DJ Speck sure gets a lot of mileage out of his PC, using it to splice and dice the pastiche of sounds heard here. Hats Off to the General ... is chock full of nifty breakbeats and drum fills. Attack of the Slug Men From Mars is more satisfying, opening with synth strains before mutating into what sounds like a broken hurdy-gurdy run through a noise filter thats on the fritz." --- Pat Berkery @ cdnow.com
