Falk Bachert a.k.a. DJ Treib-House, was born 1983 in Dresden. He discovered his interest for music in the early years and started having piano lessons. He had his first club experience at the age of 13. It was a village party and the local DJ of that night inspired him to buy records and become a DJ. For his next birthday he wanted to get turntables as a present. Then, for Christmas it was a mixer. Quickly he had his own little set up ready, and he started mixing records.
At the age of 16 DJ Treib-House was interested in US House from New York and he had a deeper love for Studio 54 and the style of their music. Especially the combination of House Music and scratching inspired DJ Treib-House to develop his very own, unique style. So it didn't take too long for him to make his mark in his home town and become one of the few DJ's having more than one residency. DJ Treib-House became a brand in his city. That led him getting calls from other cities like Berlin and Hamburg.
The next logical step was production. After his early success as a DJ, DJ Treib-House got an offer from Update Records to start his profession on another level. The world was ready for the sound of DJ Treib-House. 2002 was the year a huge crowd got to see his talent. He won the first place at the NATURE ONE DJ-CONTEST followed by the first place at the SUNPARADE in 2003. He also became the headliner of the same event in 2004.
At the moment DJ Treib-House is living and producing out of Hamburg. He already mixed at the best and most popular clubs there, and became a respected DJ and producer. He played in locations like PACHA and HÜHNERPOSTEN together with world-class DJ's, such as Bad Boy Bill, Tom Novy, David Guetta, Eric Prydz, Markus Gardeweg, Westbam, Dave Armstrong, Haktan O'Nal and many more. His current residency is Hamburg’s most popular Beach Club Lago Bay - "We Love Hamburg on Sunday" this event is the place to be for party peoples. DJ Treib-House was also discovered by Clubs outside of Germany. He played in countries like France, Turkey, Spain, Austria and Switzerland.
DJ Treib-House released 2005 his next single called "Do You Feel The Same Way 2" on the well-known label KONTOR RECORDS. This record was a huge success for both, the label and for DJ Treib-House as a DJ. Also his follow-up "House Ain't Givin Up!" became a huge floorfiller. He produced 3 records and many more DJ Tools in cooperation with his studio partner Tony Bravo.
In all this time he never lost contact to the crowd. It was always the most important thing for DJ Treib-House to feel the crowd - a matter just as important to him as not forgetting the roots of DJing. The purest thing for him is a DJ and vinyl. He never mixes his sets by use of CDs or a laptop and this will always stay that way! Should there be no more vinyls left one day, then DJ Treib-House will no longer exist. His motto is: "Save the Vinyl, save the DJ!"
