Editor's review

The feel-good reggae vibes of Sublime gets a dose of punk thuggery when Dumbluck gets plugged. Bouncy and energetic yet angst-ridden, this So-Cal trio has struck pop-punk paydirt. Just remember apply sunscreen to you your tattoos before hitting the beach.

Biography

DUMBLUCK is a three-piece unit whose universal sound and song writing connects and speaks to the masses. With an energetic fusion of rock and reggae, some have dubbed DUMBLUCK "The Police" for the new millennium. Hailing from Orange County, the seasoned musicians that make up DUMBLUCK are no strangers to the local music scene. The band features Jim Perkins on guitar and lead vocals, Phil Valdovinos on Drums and Johnny Baldaray on bass and vocals. Despite the band's serious and gut checking lyrical content, DUMBLUCK delivers a live show that is fun and sometimes light hearted. They are truly a band you must experience live.

DUMBLUCK has accomplished what many have tried and failed, they have recorded an album that showcases the band's live intensity loud and clear. Encompassing the sounds of blues, rock and reggae, DUMBLUCK is sure to satisfy the finickiest of musical appetites. With an albums worth of stellar tracks co-produced by the Wizardz of Oz, it is only a matter of time before rock radio follows X 103.9 FM's lead in jamming the airwaves with the likes of "Down for Whatever", "Throw it Away" and "Favorite Song." Taking things to the next level, DUMBLUCK received national exposure with the airing of the bands theme music for X Games X 2004. DUMBLUCK's version of "I Just Want To Celebrate" (originally recorded by 70's funk group Rare Earth) aired throughout the Summer X Games telecast on ABC and ESPN. DUMBLUCK was also one of the few featured performers (including OZOMATLI, STRUNG OUT and G LOVE) to take the stage at the Staples Center for the X Games festivities.

Performing at a rotation of Southern California's finest venues, House of Blues, Troubadour, Whisky A Go Go, Roxy Theater... Sharing the stage with the likes of LONG BEACH SHORTBUS, FISHBONE, PEPPER, VOODOO GLOW SKULLS... DUMBLUCK's dynamic live show is poised to carve them a niche.
