Biography

Blending blues, jazz, rockabilly, and the occasional cowboy song with skillful guitar accompaniment and a great big voice, Earl Oliver constantly delights audiences with his energy and enthusiasm. Dubbed "The Walkin Blues Man" for his numerous parade appearances, he has been a popular performer at clubs, festivals, television, radio and on the street in Northern California for many years. Earl currently resides in an 80-year old farm house in Ft.Bragg, CA, on the Mendocino Coast, with his wife and two cats.

In February, 2004, Earl formed a partnerhip with 30 year North Coast veteran, Butch Kwan. Kwan is an influential local band leader (Mike & the Mustangs, Hot Property, Luther Tucker Band) who also teaches both guitar and violin.

Oliver & Kwan appeared at several festival events over the summer including the 2004 Caspar World Folk Festival and most recently at the Local Licks Live XII concert, sponsored by KOZT FM, at Dana Gray Auditorium in November 2004.
