Branson, Miss., guitar virtuoso Edward Tholen shows exquisite sensitivity and impressive precision when performing his Spanish-inflected original compositions.

Biography

Edward Tholen was born in Houston, Texas and moved to Alaska with his family at age 8. His musical talents began developing around age 12, when he began playing the trumpet. He eventually developed an interest in drums and then finally at age 15 the guitar became the love of his life. In his own words, "The first time I heard classical guitar, I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life".

He has participated in master classes with such renowned artists as David Tanenbaum, Oscar Ghiglia, Michael Lorimer and David Russell, to name but a few.
