In her Troubleman Solo Singles Series recording, this Sarge singer shows off a reedy soprano that's got a blend of fragility and grandeur hardly seen this side of Natalie Merchant. Against a backdrop of slow, dreamy, indie-pop piano and guitar, Elmore frames age-old romantic conflicts as though she were the first to learn about them.
Biography
The influential Troubleman Solo Singles Series (TMUSSS) is proud to bring you its latest installment. BOB NANNA is best known as the vocalist of BRAID and HEY MERCEDES, and ELIZABETH ELMORE was the vocalist of SARGE. This is the first time either one of them has recorded solo material, and we are super excited they chose the TMUSSS for their debut.
The songs are subtle and acoustic, and fans of any of their previous bands will definitely find this appealing. Anyone familiar with the TMUSSS knows how fast these releases sell out, and this one is sure to follow. The vinyl is limited to 1000 hand numbered copies, and the CD will stay in print.
