Eraze, a rap artist out of Windhoek, Namibia, is a talent as yet undiscovered. Combining hard thought and provocative lyrics with infectious beats, this African prodigy will surely be seen and heard on the international hip-hop stage. Feel the pain of his love.
eraze is a hip-hop rapper, who has been rapping for quiet awhile now. He started rapping at the age of 16, with a couple of friends. He has been patiently molding his skills over the years and he has also tried to stir clear of the public eye. His EP, can be seen as the communication bridge between eraze, hip-hop and the public. “The name eraze has nothing to do with pencils and rubber”. He adamantly explains. The e in eraze stands for Edwin, his first name, and raze can be found in the most recent dictionaries of modern English of our times. eraze has been the guy behind the popular Unam Radio show “Tha Cypha” . In addition, he has just finished recording his EP, which has been receiving good airplay, on Unam Radio, especially the west coast mid-tempo groove “Me” featuring B. AV, the Cyborg. He’s got people talking about his new record, most especially with the main track (“Here to stay”). This EP also includes two bonus tracks, ie. “Hit the Microphone Feat. Stalin and “Say My Name” by the Sanlam Namibian Music Award Nominee (Best Female Rapper), Snazzy. His debut LP is scheduled to be on sale early next year. Hip-hop fans and eraze’s fans alike can look forward to the EP release early December 2003. The entire project was recorded and produced at John 6 Studios and has been release under RV IN©, one of Namibia’s leading record label. RV IN© has previously worked with Cutie (Namibia’s own RnB Diva), The Snipers, Scientist, Rachel (An RnB Singer based in the UK), Red Vandalz, Snazzy, Tequila, B. AV and many other artists.
