Ernie is a female singer/songwriter out of Austin Texas, with a history in music projects as diverse as hip-hop and a Neil Diamond cover band. Her solo work lends her rich, sweet voice to smooth songwriting. Her tunes and singing style call to mind favorite Shawn Colvin or Bonnie Raitt records reveal that Ernie is her own woman.

In addition to solo acoustic performances, Ernie also serves as bassist and vocalist for The After School Special, bassist and guitarist for The Sexy Finger Champs, and vocalist for hip-hop joint U Me and a DJ, and Austins veteran Neil Diamond cover band, the Diamond Smugglers.
She recorded her debut album, A Jesters Life, with producer and collaborator Britton Beisenherz (Milton Mapes / Deadman) at Ramble Creek Studios in Austin, TX. The album features Ernst, Beisenherz, and Dallas drummer / percussionist John Scully (Deadman) along with guest performances by Dave Brittman (Gallapagos,) Steven Collins (Deadman,) Chris Forshage (Larry, Grass,) Tim Gibbons (Slingblade artist,) Warren Hood and Matt Sleusher (South Austin Jug Band,) John Pointer (Schrodingers Cat,) Greg Utay, and Jess Farr (The Astronaut Suit.)
In addition to A Jesters Life, Ernies other projects, The After School Special and U Me and a DJ, are each preparing their debut releases for 2004. Ernies vocals also appear on Milton Mapes critically acclaimed Westernaire i> as well as future releases by Drew Cowan, The Trustees, Saratone, and The Pajamas.
Ernie plans to release her second full-length recording in late 2004.
