Biography

From a metal and rock background evenless has been developing their own style into something which listeners describe as an essence of Therapy?, Filter and Jimmy Eat World. Crushing Guitar Riffs (Martin/Sebastian) team up with innovative bass lines (Lars) and pounding drums (Ulf) and reach their climax in melodic refrains. evenless put the focus on their melodies, which are arranged for several voices (Sebastian/Lars) and the melancholic lyrics mainly deal with personal experiences. With their 2003 debut evenless already aimed high: the concept album “Janus” tells within no less than 20 songs a story about guilt, atonement and egoism. Shortly afterwards evenless got to know producer Jörg Uken who invited the band to his Soundlodge Studio to record the follow-up “Songs from the Basement”, which sold very well and got excellent press reviews. To quote but a few, Rock Hard magazine wrote: “evenless have a neck for compact compositions and catchy refrains.” Metal Hammer: “Well done, these are artists with a professional ambition. One can only advise every owner of a rock club to book this high-class band.” And metal-inside: “Varied, simply great and a highlight of the last months!” The track “Nowhere” was presented on various radio stations and was furthermore featured on the “Beyond Unknown” Sampler by U-Sound distribution. The 3rd record “Split Infinity” was once again recorded at the Soundlodge Studio in early 2005. It contains 13 Songs and consequently follows the rock sound of the band?s preceding records. On stage, evenless supported H-Blockx, Wir sind Helden, Three Minute Poetry and Flyswatter among others and they knew how to rock either the big festival stages or the smallest pub corners. Years of live experience in former and still existing band-projects are the guarantee for an unforgettable rock show! evenless rocks!
