Editor's review

The willingness to take its time is what makes the song "Driving via Streetlight" by Faith in Plastics so engaging. The guitars ramble blissfully, long enough to reveal a building tension while never letting the song get away.

Biography

Adam & Rhys went to high school together. Rhys, Andy & Dave went to high school together. In December 2002, with high school days well in the past and a legacy of musical projects (some living room bound, some not) left behind, Adam & Rhys started writing songs together. Andy & Dave later joined and Faith in Plastics began.

Since hitting the live scene in August 2003, Faith in Plastics have been featured in a number of diverse events throughout Perth alongside such established acts as Snowman, Ten Speed Racer, M lange, Fighting for Alaska & *Flavoured Sounds.

To date, early demos of Alert but not Alarmed and Driving via Streetlight have received airplay on RTRfm and Adam, a solo performer in his own right, has had the opportunity to play songs performed by Faith in Plastics at solo acoustic gigs around Perth (on lineups including members of The Panics, Little Birdy and The Tigers) and on RTRfm s Australian Music Program Distant Murmurs (24/07/03). In February 2004, Faith in Plastics were featured as an 'Unsigned Artist' in Rockus Online Magazine (www.rockus.com.au) and in March 2004 Faith in Plastics were singled out from over 30 applicants and invited to join Popzilla (www.popzilla.com.au).

Faith in Plastics have recently completed recording their self-produced demo and plan to distribute the cd widely over the coming months while continuing to perform live at venues throughout Perth.
