Editor's review

Bringing a '70s power-pop catchiness into the funk-jazz spectrum, J-Pratt and the Flipto Funkies offer bouncy grooves that are alternately laid-back and lively. Exuberant bass and chunky rhythm guitar are topped off by the-devil-may-care flightiness of lead sax. To be played in close proximity to lava lamps and pet rocks.

Biography

Just five guys making music. What started out as a simple trio for the school talent show turned into a full fledged jazz/fusion group consisting of drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, and alto sax. The ultimate goal in this quintet was to record a demo CD for the drummer to send to Berklee School of Music. What we ended up with was a great CD and a companionship that only making music can create. Please send any comments to insignia100@netscape.net
