Foreign Born

Foreign Born started as a project between Matt Popeiluch and Lewis Pesacov. Matt, who played organ in San Francisco's indie folk Papercuts, and Lewis, who has a BM in Music Theory, met while roommates in San Francisco. They found themselves in Los Angeles and hooked up with Lewis' high school friend Ariel Reichtsaid and drummer Garret Ray. From there, they played music together for a weekend and hence the birth of Foreign Born. They quickly started playing shows opening for bands such as: Bloc Party, French Kicks, Black Mountain, Futureheads, and many more. They released a 12" which got the attention of Startime.
