Brent Rademaker has run the musical gamut in his short life. He played the shoegazer with Further, the neopsychedelic cowboy in the Beachwood Sparks, and the wistful English bedsitter in the Tyde. In his newest incarnation, Frausdots, Rademaker is aiming for the dramatic melancholy of the early '80s. Far from being a pastiche, Frausdots is a darkly melodic outfit clearly steeped in both New Wave and '60s psyche-rock traditions.

HOW FORMED:
After decades of musical experimentation in L.A. based shoegazer outfit Further, late-‘80s Brit-sounding twangers The Tyde and seminal neo-psych folk legends Beachwood Sparks, Frausdots founder Brent Rademaker has finally taken the reins and created dream rock that’s as deliciously rich and indulgent as he wants it to be. He and Michelle Loiselle’s sexy, melodic nightlife pop marks a return to Rademaker’s songwriting roots.
