Fuego Indio is a trio, composed by electric guitar / MIDI (Javier Ruiz), vocals and rhythmic guitar (Eduardo Avila) and percussion (Fernando Massino). Its music covers different folk rhythms from the northwest region of Argentina including chacareras, zambas, gatos, carnavalitos, vidalas, bailecitos in Spanish; and popular verses in Quechua. Its repertoire includes songs of their own and others from the Argentine popular folk songbook. We create, play, re-create and develop music from this region of Argentina, a region that gathers a vast cultural background, specially due to the presence of different native Andean and sub-Andean cultures, the Spanish presence and the expression of the ?criollo? born from the contact of these two cultures. We perform an artistic work deepening and respecting our origins. Our inspiration has taken us to the search of new expression elements, new ways of instrumentation and new ways of transmitting and sharing the ancient message of our earth.
